Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies — such as localStorage — let a site remember information between visits. PawSync uses a minimal set of these to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences.

2. How We Use Them

  • Essential / authentication: Supabase sets cookies to keep your session active so you don't have to log in on every page. The Service cannot function without these.
  • Preferences: we store lightweight settings — such as your theme (light/dark) and dashboard layout — in your browser's local storage so the app looks the way you left it.
  • Rate limiting & security: transient counters (keyed by IP or token) help protect the Service from abuse. These do not identify you and are not stored long-term.

3. Cookies and Storage We Use

The following table lists what we store and why. We use only strictly-necessary cookies and preference storage — no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

NameTypePurposeDuration

Dashboard & UI preferenceslocalStorage (preference)Remembers dashboard layout and similar in-app settings.Until cleared

4. Advertising and Tracking

PawSync does not use third-party advertising cookies and does not sell your data. We do not track you across other websites. Because we use only strictly-necessary cookies and preference storage, no cookie consent banner is required for these purposes; we mention this so our approach is clear and deliberate.

5. Third-Party Services

Some providers we rely on may set their own cookies when their functionality is used — for example Stripe during checkout. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of third-party services and what data they receive.

6. Managing Cookies

You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the Service. Clearing local storage will reset preferences such as theme and dashboard layout.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
